Seeds of Hope

Each year Advent participates in the Seeds of Hope mission project.  This project encourages families to help themselves by growing gardens and increasing their food supply.

On designated Sundays, Advent collects packets of vegetable seeds in the clay pots located in the Narthex.

The seeds are then boxed and sent to the Jackson Area Ministries Resource and Training Center in Ohio.  There they are distributed to low and fixed income families to enable them to grow part of their food supply.  In 2007, Advent sent 134 packets of seeds.
