SOUPer Bowl Sunday is February 5
The SOUPer Bowl of Caring began almost 20 years ago with a simple prayer from a single youth group in South Carolina. “Lord as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us to be mindful of those without even a bowl of soup to eat.” Since that day, more than $81 million has been raised for local charities across the country through the SOUPer Bowl of Caring. This year, Advent youth will again sponsor the SOUPer Bowl of Caring on Sunday, February 5. Each person is asked to donate $1.00. The money collected will go to help with the Greenville District Great Day of Service, the STOP Hunger Now Packaging event that will be held at Advent on April 21, 2012.
