Student Ministry at Advent embraces these core values and believes that teenagers are not only the church of tomorrow, they are the church of today. It is during this time that students move from childhood to young adulthood. It is our desire at Advent to be partners on the journey and walk alongside them during this transition to adulthood. We hope to provide opportunities which allow students to:
- develop a strong sense of who they are and whose they are
- experience God
- experience Christian community
- encourage them to reach their full potential
- be present to the work of God in the world
- become aware of social injustices and help equip them to act
- find passion in serving others
- be challenged to live “counter culturally”
- develop Biblical convictions and strong moral character
- explore their God given talents
- practice spiritual disciplines
Mission: Advent youth SERVE with our gifts. We REACH out to all and we EMBRACE them in Christian love. We TEACH God’s word so that we MAGNIFY our beliefs.
