Advent has a number of opportunities to connect with other men who are focused on the ministry of Jesus Christ.
Coordination of these opportunities is the responsibility of our United Methodist Men executive team:
Jim Grayson, President
Robert Verostek, Vice-President
Tommy Bryan, Treasurer
Ken Moore, Secretary
Advent United Methodist Men is an inspirational Christian ministry through men, promoting brotherly support, and fellowship, while serving the needs of the church and the community.

Advent Helping Hands
Advent Helping Hands is a new ministry aimed at providing service to those in physical need of support. The need could be a situation of aging, sudden illness, or other inability to take care of needed maintenance on their property. Examples of work needed might be:
- Quarterly house maintenance – change air filters, check faucets, etc
- Yard work / repair
- House repair projects – sinks, wall patches, fans, etc
- Errand running
Our first focus is to take care of Advent members in need. If you need some help, or if you know of someone else who might benefit, please send a note to Jeff Conley (jcon(at)charter.net or 864-325-4700.) More information at Advent Helping Hands.
