Friday, July 25
Advent's Beach Party Vacation Bible School concludes Friday.

Sunday, July 27
- Worship at 8:45 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and contemporary service at 5:07 p.m.
Vacation Bible School week is always exciting, and this week has been no exception. Hundreds of children and adults have participated in our Beach Party VBS as we have "surfed" through some biblical basics. Each night, our leaders have taught Bible stories that encourage our children to be kind, obedient, forgiving, and bold, then concluded with what it means to believe in Christ.
This Sunday, July 27, we will continue in the joy and celebration of this event as we focus on VBS at all three worship services. Pastor Beverly will bring the message from Colossians 3:1-17. In Colossians, Paul reminds us that as Christians we are raised and hidden in Christ. Begin to consider what it means to live in Christ and the character traits that flow from that kind of living.
VBS participants will also lead in worship, offering their gifts in Scripture reading, singing, and praying. In addition, under the leadership of Laurie Brown-Pressly, several children will share what this week of learning has meant to them.In keeping with our theme, "Surf's Up!" you will not want to miss this exciting day at Advent!
- GAIHN Meeting with Rev. Tony McDade, Executive Director
Tony McDade, Executive Director of GAIHN, will be at Advent on Sunday, July 27, from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. to talk with anyone volunteering. It will be a "what to do" and "what not to do" session with adequate time for your questions. All volunteers are encouraged to attend.
