In this section of our web we, the people of Advent, will share our reflections of the many and varied ways God has revealed God's self to us along the journey of faith that we all share together.

We want to share these, like the ancient's of old who piled stone upon stone so that they might remember and that they might share their stories when their children asked, "What do these stones mean?"

Simply send your "stone" to Pastor Pete. He'll work with you to get it in a form that may be posted here.

Did you mean...?

By: Carolyn

Was I to write about the first time I felt God’s presence in my life? Do you mean when I first heard the words Beloved Child of God at Friendship Methodist Church when I was a small child, and knew he meant me?

I‘ve never been much of a prayer. God and I just had a running dialogue. We talked dail...

Rev. Rudolph Berntson

To day as I give thanks for the stones in my life that remind me of God’s faithfulness, I remember Rev Rudolph Elmer Berntson.  To day is the day of his birth, and he would have been 82 on this day.  He was my father.

It is hard for me to separate the different roles, like father a...

By: Steve Schmotzer

So, there I was at 2:00 AM on final approach to the capital city of Monrovia, Liberia.  On the 4 hour flight from Morocco, I saw very few lights from my plane window, as if I was staring at the blackness of outer space.  I knew that the government-imposed curfew in Liberia was more than tw...
