Visiting on Sunday?

We're Pleased to Have You Here

Whether you are curious or seriously seeking a "church home," you are very much welcome at Advent. The steps below help you know what to expect on Sundays, but there are also plenty of weekday programs when you are ready to try them.

Steps to Visiting on Sunday

  1. Choose a Worship Service

Worship is at 8:30 am, 9:55 am and 11:15 am, with some exceptions on special holidays. Each service features the same message but with different styles of music. Services usually conclude within an hour.

Details are on our worship page. Included on that page are down-loadable bulletins for each of our services and the announcement of upcoming events and activities. These are updated weekly so make sure to check them out for information that will help you understand this community of faith.

On your first visit, it's best to arrive about 10 minutes early, or 20 minutes early if you need time to find your children's classroom locations.

There are opportunities for all ages from 8:30 am - 12:15 pm. Nursery care is provided during all 3 worship services and Sunday school for infants to K3.

  2. Arrive and Get Parked

We are a single-campus church with one location. Arriving 10-15 minutes before the service starts will make things easier. There are a number of designated parking spots set aside for you, identified by the special signs.

  3. Find a Place for Yourself and Your Kids

Greeters, stationed at the most common entrances to all buildings, are ready to answer your questions before, between, and after each service.

  4. Celebrate Through Worship

Greeters will also welcome you into the "sanctuary building" and give you a program outlining the service. Ushers can help you find a seat. Toward the beginning of the service, everyone is invited to stand and greet one another. You will not be singled out as a guest. Biblical teaching, a blend of musical styles, prayer, giving, and a monthly communion service are key components of worship at Advent.

Parents of K3 children are invited to escort their children to the K3 Children's Worship Room, located in Education Building Room 11, before the service begins. Trained parents and volunteers will be on hand to supervise the children for a short playtime. K4 & K5 children will begin their worship in the sanctuary with their parents. Following the children's message during the 8:30 am and 11:15 am services, the K4 & K5 children will join the K3 children for a time of age-appropriate worship, music, Bible stories, and activities.

  5. Let Us Help You

If you would like to talk about a personal concern or something you heard in the service, seek out one of the ushers or one of the men or women located by the table in the entrance.
