Advent Night At Discovery IslandReservations are now being accepted for the August 8 Advent night at Discovery Island waterpark. It is going to be SO much fun - don't delay!
United Methodist MenPlan on attending the quarterly meeting of Advent's United Methodist Men on August 19. Pastor Michael will be speaking. Meal is a low country boil.

On August 1, Pastor Beverly CroweTipton will bring the message "Beloved ... We Are Called" based on Jonah 1:1-6, at all three worship services. Recognizing our belovedness, our value to God is foundational. That realization is a key that opens the way for us to live into our calling--God's fullest intention for our lives!
Assisting in worship will be the Rev. Jody Oates, Executive Director of South Carolina United Methodist Camps & Retreat Ministry. Jody has previously served as a pastor of United Methodist Churches and with United Methodist Camps in Ohio. In the fall he will be moving back to Ohio to begin working full-time with Kaleidoscope, a camp and retreat center consulting company working with centers across the country.
Come worship with us at 8:30 a.m., 9:55 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.

Basketball Camp 2010
August 2 and 3 Ages: 6-9
August 4 and 5 Ages: 10-14
Basketball Camp 2010 is set and ready to go! Please note that camps will run from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Ages 6 – 9 will be Monday and Tuesday and 10-14 will be Wednesday and Thursday. Campers must be signed in and out by their parents. No drop offs allowed. Camper entrance for sign ins and outs will be the double doors on the right of the Christian Life Center (Youth Room side).
